THE GARAGE DOOR TEAM - THE EASY WAY TO A NEW GARAGE DOOR

Although we offer a free measuring service on request, you may prefer to measure up yourself. Firstly, you will need to ascertain whether your new garage door will need to be fitted within a brickwork opening, and therefore require a frame, or whether it will be fitted to an existing timber frame.

If you'd like your new door fitted to an existing timber frame, first ensure that the timber is in good condition (check for rot, particularly at the bottom). Please also make certain that it's square, vertical and secure within the opening. The timber should be 70mm x 70mm (2¾ x 2¾).

Next, measure the opening from the inside of the frame both vertically and horizontally. Note down your measurements and check the table below to see what door size you require. And don't worry if you're unsure about door size. Just give us a call and we'll be more than happy to double-check for accuracy using the measurements you've taken.
